'Quacky' 4th of July!

This is the card that I made to try out for the My Pink Stamper design team. I had a lot of fun making this card. I hope you enjoy it too!

The duck is from Create a Critter and the hat, bow tie and vest are from Paperdoll Dress Up. I stamped the face with Peachy Keen Stamps Critter Faces -Medium.

I hope you all have a safe & wonderful holiday weekend.

Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge #31

I'm back from a fabulous family vacation and trying to squeeze some time into papercrafting again. Peachy Keen Stamps has an awesome sketch for this challenge and I had fun working with it.

This is the cute sketch we had to work with.

For this card I cut the circles from the George and Basic Shapes Cricut cartridge. I used the Peachy Keen Firecracker stamp and Peachy Keen Stamps Simple Sallies face assortment. The actual firecracker face is the white one in the middle and is absolutely adorable, I just thought I would try something different for me (to challenge myself), so I did some masking and gave each firecracker a different expression. I colored them in with my Prismacolor pencils and blending stumps.

Happy Independence Day and a BIG thank you to all of the men and women who continue to keep our country free.

51 Years

My parents just celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary. I think it is WONDERFUL! I love them both SO much and I'm thankful for all that they have done for me and my family.

This is another card that I made my own border for. I have several Cricut cartridges and I like the look of a border punch, designing and welding the border myself saves me on buying a lot of those cute border punches. This is a very simple card but I think it has a nice look to it.

Disney Birthday Wishes

This is a simple birthday card with a subtle Disney theme to it. My whole family loves Disney so I figure this card will work well for any upcoming birthday. I hope you like it too.

Happy Birthday is from Lyrical letters, the scallop is from Plantin Schoolbook, the Mickey icons are from Mickey Font. I added a little white dotting, some ribbon and a little bling. Did you notice the hidden Mickey I made from rhinestones? Have a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious day!

Celebrate Love

This is a simple anniversary card. The paper is shiny and a little hard to photograph, but I think it came out nice and simple.

I used Calligraphy Collection for the title and made the heart border by welding the hearts to a rectangle from the George cartridge. I love designing my own decorative borders.

Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge 29

For this challenge, Peachy Keen wanted to see our favorite yummy summer BBQ or picnic recipe! And they wanted us to feature it as a recipe card! This was a fun challenge. My Mom has a super yummy macaroni salad and I thought this would be fun to make and add to a scrapbook layout later. I have to thank my husband for helping to pump my creative juices for this.

I wanted Mr and Mrs Macaroni having a picnic to be the theme for the recipe card. This is actually a recipe card pouch. You pull on the sunshine and get the recipe.

I used my GYPSY and a whole bunch of cartridges for this. I also used the Peachy Keen Stamps Critter Faces for the faces.

Here is a final picture with the recipe card pulled all the way out.

Thanks BEARY Much

Emma over at My Creative Time has started up a new Throwback Thursday's Challenge. She is going to challenge us to make something with some of the older Cricut cartridges. This week was Animal Kingdom. I always need thank you cards, so I looked through the animals on the cartridge and this is what I came up with.

I used Animal Kingdom for the Bear, Peachy Keen Stamps Critter Faces for the bear's face, Everyday Paperdoll's for the grass and Gypsy font for the sentiment. You can always click on the picture of the card if you would like to see the details closer up.

Celebrations

Today is my Mom and Dad's 51st anniversary and my Sister in laws birthday. It is a day of celebration! This is the card I made for my sister in law.

The happy birthday sentiment is cut from Calligraphy Collection. I made the flower border with the flower scallop from the Easter 2010 cartridge. I welded a couple of scallops to a rectangle for the card base. Last of all I added some sequin flowers, rhinstones, white dotting and a ribbon.

Father's Day Card

This is the Father's Day card that I made for my Dad. He isn't really into fishing, camping or any of the normal father's day themed things. So, I decided to make a nice simple card.

I used the Wild Card cartridge for the sentiment and the frame. The card is 5" square and is matted at 4.75". I added some dots with a dark brown pen and then I added a few mini brads to the frame.
