Dancing Birthday Girl!

Oh Come Let Us Adore Him

Merry Christmas to all of my papercrafting friends. I wanted to share my religious Christmas card. I'm so thankful that today we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior. Christmas blessings to you all!

This is a window card. I hid the outer layer of the cut in my Gypsy. The second sheet is attached with a thin line of adhesive. It is patterned on one side and white on the other and makes it perfect for writing inside the card. Here is a picture of what I'm talking about. Diane at Capadia Designs does a great job with this. She has an awesome step by step photo tutorial on how to do this. You should definitely check it out.

Cool Pal!

Snow, snow, rain and snow! We have had lots of rain and snow this week. I think we will definitely be having a white Christmas. I've had this card designed in Design Studio for 2 years and never got around to cutting it. I converted it to a Gypsy file and cut it out today. I like how it turned out, but I am a little Disney crazy. I cut it out using blue, green and brown so it could be part of the My Pink Stamper Color Challenge.

I attached this cute snowman with an ACTION WOBBLE!!!! If you are new to following my site, an Action Wobble is a collapsible spring that brings movement and life to your projects. They have a Facebook page that you can join as well. There are lots of fun projects and some information that has been posted over there. Click HERE to go to the Facebook link.

Here is a short video showing this dancing Mickey Snowman.

Peachy Keen Challenge and News

I have some WONDERFUL and VERY exciting Peachy Keen Stamps news. I was lucky to be chosen as a Peachy Keen Stamps Guest Designer for 2011. This means that the week of August 22-26th, 2011, you will see a week full of Peachy Keen fun on my blog. My posts for that week will also be posted on the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog. I will also get to give away a Peachy surprise donated by Peachy Keen Stamps during my guest week. I'm so happy. I love Peachy Keen Stamps. I've tried out for a few design teams in the past and haven't made the cut. Although this is only a guest designer position I couldn't be happier. Thanks so much for the opportunity Peachy Keen Stamps! And thanks to all of you for endulging me in this little celebration. For a full list of Guest Designer's Visit Peachy Keen Stamps Blog.

I made a card for the current Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge. The challenge was to do some embossing on your project. I finally found me the Polka Dot Cricut embossing folder and decided to try it out. This is a shape card made with the Very Merry Tags Cricut cartridge. So yes, it is supposed to be a tag, but I thought it would make a cute shape card.

I love snow people and these Peachy Keen Stamps make her look SO cute. I also love my twine. I think it definitely adds to her scarf.

I have had a bunch of people ask me about the twine. I have bought mine at a local scrapbooking store for 15 cents a yard. They have twine from both The Twinery and Divine Twine. However, I found an awesome sampler pack that The Twinery offers. It is $14.95 for 120 yards of twine in all 8 colors. Shipping was reasonable, so if you are in the market for some twine this is a great deal. Just click HERE to go to this offer.

Wrapping Things Up

The Peachy Keen Stamps Let's Face it Friday challenge was to use a Peachy Keen face stamp and a paper bag. I need to get some wrapping done so I made some wrapping paper and a tag.

Unfortunately I let my neighbor borrow my stamps that have the to: and from: on them so I had to hand write it. It looks alright but the stamps would have been nicer. I added an Action Wobble to the tag, so here is a short video demonstrating the wobble-man tag.

As always videos suggested after mine are not endorsed by me.

Items Used:

Disneyland Find!

I was at Disneyland this past week. It was beautiful all decorated for Christmas. The weather was gorgeous. And we had a really good time too. I came home with a sick child and husband, but that could have happened just as easily at home. In fact we are pretty sure my daughter caught her cold before we left on the trip. Anyway, while shopping I found this adorable gingerbread mix and cookie cutter, does it remind you of something I just made? I guess great Disney loving minds think alike. I can't wait to use it. I will try to remember to post pictures if we get them made up.

I hope you are all doing well. I hope to get a couple things made this week to post on here. I guess we will see how things go with the sick ones. Take care!

Holly Jolly 2 Day Hop - Day 1

Hello everyone, welcome to day 1 of our 2 day Holly Jolly Blog Hop. If you got here from Stephanie's blog than you are moving in the right direction. If not head on back so that you don't miss out on any of these amazing projects.

This is my first time participating in a blog hop and I'm so excited. My gift idea is a decorated scented candle. It is a Hobble Creek Candle and the scent is Christmas Cookies. It is a yummy gingerbread/sugar cookie smell. I have one of my own and LOVE it. I thought it would make a yummy gift. I made these for my daughter's teachers. This set is for my daughter's dance teacher who LOVES Disney stuff. On Sunday I will post my non-Disney version that she is giving to her school teacher.

These cute little gingers wrap all the way around the candle.

Here is a view of the top of the candle. I added an Action Wobble to this little label. My daughter LOVES that added touch.

For those of you who may not know what an Action Wobble is, they are a dimensional spring that add a lot of movement to your projects. They are not currently sold, but should be available for sale sometime during the first quarter of 2011. Here is a very short video demonstrating how it moves. They are so much fun.

Sweet Holiday Cheer

I have been making my Christmas cards in sets of two. It doesn't take much longer to make two that are similar than it does to make one. How about any of you?

One of my latest creations comes from a cute Disney Christmas ornament I have. It is a Mickey Mouse shaped sucker. Thanks to my awesome Gypsy I was able to recreate it in card form.

So, they turned out fairly similar but not exactly the same. I also used Action Wobbles on both of them but I did them both differently. The first card has an Action Wobble only on the biggest middle part of the sucker (a double layer). The second card has the Action Wobble on the back of the whole sucker. I made a quick video demonstration.

Let me know which one you like the best. I can't decide for sure. Thanks for looking.

Also, one more reminder about the Jolly Holly 2 day blog hop. Please come and join in the fun, starting Friday, December 10th at 7:30 PM EST. I hope to 'see' you there :). If you click on this badge below it will take you to the beginning of the blog hop on Friday.

Sparkly Merry Christmas!

I've had this ornament designed for a couple of years now and never got around to cutting it out. I originally designed it in the Cricut Design Studio and later converted the file for my wonderful Gypsy. It is very simple but I love how it turned out. I used Core'dinations Couture Cardstock and it is GORGEOUS. Unfortunately the photos do not do this paper justice. Anyway, here is my card.

I also wanted to remind everyone about the Holly Jolly 2 day Blog Hop. I am so excited this is my first time participating in a blog hop and I hope you will join us. It starts of Friday, December 10th, 2010 at 7:30 PM EST.

This is Christmas card that I made for the dearest couple that live in France. I met them while I was living in Melun France (a suburb of Paris) and they have become a very special part of my life. They are about the same age as my parents and sweet as can be. We quickly 'adopted' each other. En tout cas, voici ma carte de Noel...

I wanted to submit this for the Fantabulous Cricut weekly challenge.
