HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I just wanted to wish you all a very Happy New Year and I also have a quick little project that I made with my daughter. These are some quick, easy and simple New Year's Eve favors. They have little hand sanitizer's inside.

We used some blingy cardstock (Core'dinations) and then with Emma's stamps and dies the rest was a piece of cake. I used Emma's Small Talk stamp set for the 'Happy New Year', her Scallop and Stitched Circle Dies and her Lollipop Holder Die. We popped each layer up with pop dots because my little one LOVES helping with pop dots. Anyway, quick and easy but cute. I hope you all have a safe and Happy New Year! Hugs- Glora

Some Favorites from 2011

Yes, I'm joining in the FAVORITES of 2011 game. I have not been crafting this week, just spending time with my beautiful FAMILY!!! But I'm certain you will see some NEW crafting projects on my blog next week! I will link to the original post for each of these and if you want to go back and get details on products, and such you can just click on the links.

These were my favorite note cards of the year using Create a Critter, My Creative Time stamps and Peachy Keen Stamps

This was my favorite patriotic card of the year. I used My Creative Time Stamps and Dies along with the Stand and Salute Cricut cartridge.

I LOVE Mickey so here is my favorite Mickey card of the year. I had fun dressing him up for fall ;).

This is my all time favorite boy birthday card. I LOVE how it turned out. I used My Creative Time stamps and dies along with Peachy Keen Stamps.

This little mouse is just too cute, she is one of my favorite girl birthday cards for this year! She is from Peachy Keen Stamps.

This turn that frown upside down card started my obsession with spinner cards. I think I only made a half dozen different ones but I LOVE how they turn out and I hope that I make a bunch more next year. The faces on all of these are beautiful Peachy Keen face stamps and the sentiments are from My Creative Time stamps.

Merry Christmas Eve

Yes, Merry Christmas Eve! I can not believe it! Christmas is here already! I wanted to share a couple of Christmas gift card holders that I made. These are also what I made for the designers' choice sketch challenge over at Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge Blog.

This was made using Emma's Embossed Gift Card Holder Die and Gift Card Sentiments. I also used the Penguin Girl stamp by Peachy Keen Stamps (I'm giving it to a boy so I didn't use one of the girl faces included I just used one of the boy faces I had from the Winter Wonderland Face Assortment). I also used the coordinating Peachy Keen Kut Out Die called Winter Character with Stocking Hat. I colored the image with Copic markers and I added some glossy accents and white gel pen accents.

For this gift card I used the CottageCutz  Gingerbread Dolls. Aren't they cute? I also used Emma's Embossed Gift Card Holder Die and the coordinating sentiments again.

I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!

Pin the Bee on the Flower Game

Hello crafting friends! Sorry it has been so long since my last post, life has just been BUSY! I did want to share with you a game that I put together for my daughter's birthday party yesterday. She wanted everything to have a FLOWER theme so we thought a fun game of pin the bee on the flower would be fun. It was a hit with the girls. This is also my entry for the Let's Face it Friday challenge over at Peachy Keen Stamps. We were supposed to use material in our project.

Here is the whole flower...

I used a strip of green material for the stem but everything else is cut out of paper.

Here is a close up of the flower and the bees...

Anyway, I hope you like it! All the pieces were cut from the Create a Critter cartridge. The flower was cut at about 11.5" and the bees were about 1.75" each. I used the darling Critter Faces in the Small size for all of the bees. And the flower center is a Basic Paper Doll Face.

I hope to be back on here before Christmas, but if not I would like to wish you all a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! Hugs- Glora

Wedding Guest Signing Pages

Alright so here are a couple of the wedding book signing pages that I had mentioned in my post yesterday. They are pretty simple and have lots of empty space for signing. But believe me even these simple layouts took a bit of time. I didn't keep track of my exact time, but just imagine cutting out photo mats and sentiments and or accents for 50 pages, let alone putting them all together. It was definitely a labor of love and today I can thankfully say that I'm finished with all 50 pages. Yippee!!!

These are not the best photos but they are the best ones I could get. Their wedding colors are purple, green and silver. Enjoy

This sentiment is from the Tie the Knot Cricut cartridge

This sentiment consists of bits and pieces from different sentiments I had cut out. But I loved how they looked together so I went for it. "Forever" is from Tie the Knot, the "&" is from Tie the Knot (but from the negative space of the sentiment "Mr & Mrs"), and "ever" is from the Storybook Cricut cartridge (part of the negative space from the sentiment "Happily Ever After").

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you all have a terrific weekend and I hope to see you soon! Hugs- Glora

A Few Things

I know I've been kinda quiet on here this week. That is because I'm going crazy making scrapbook/signing pages for my niece's wedding on Saturday (50 pages to be exact). The newest trend right now (in Utah anyway) is to have your guest sign a scrapbook page or a photo frame instead of a regular guest book. Basically the scrapbook page is a picture of the couple along with a couple of embellishments. Then the guests write a little note to the couple in the empty area of the scrapbook page. I will probably post one of the pages for you to look at tomorrow, just so that you can see what I'm talking about.

Secondly, I wanted to remind everyone about the Simply Crafts Challenge. You still have a few days to enter a project with a stocking on it and if you win the random drawing one of the prizes is the cute little paper stack that I used on ALL of the projects below:

Hello and welcome to the 12th and final day of Emma's 12 Days of Christmas. If you arrived here from the talented Cindy's blog you are in the right spot. If not make sure to start at Emma's blog.

Today I have a cute mini banner for you. It is probably only 16-18" long, but is perfect for a little holiday decoration. Here is the whole thing so you can get a general idea of how it looks all together. Then I will zoom in on a few pieces for you.

What I used for this project was Emma's XL Label Die for the banner pieces and the XL Label Border stamps for the perfect stitched trim on them. The gingers are from the Faceless Gingerbread Doll Large set. I just got these recently and HAD to make sure that I used them before Christmas! I paper pieced and inked everything and then added some chalk and glossy accents. I used some old Sizzix letter dies for the letters and I tied everything together with some pretty twine from The Twinery. I hope you like it and I hope that you have enjoyed the 12 days of Christmas at My Creative Time!

MCT 12 Days of Christmas Day 11

Hello and welcome to the 11th day of Emma's 12 Days of Christmas. If you arrived here from the talented Cindy's blog you are in the right spot. If not make sure to start at Emma's blog.

Today I have a card for you. I used a sketch that they are using over at the Peachy Keen Challenge Blog. Sometimes I think it really helps to get some inspiration from a sketch that is all drawn up and ready for you to use.

For this card I used one of the dies from Emma's Build a Banner Kit along with a sentiment from the Mixed Holiday Sentiments stamp set. The darling  snowman is called Snow Girl and she coordinates with the Winter Character with Stocking Cap die. This is my first time using this die and stamp and I love how simple the die made it! I paper pieced most of the snowman but I did color in her pants with some Copics. The paper pad I used is called Be Merry by My Minds Eye. I noticed that Janice used this same paper pad for hers and I think it was a great choice. There are so many pretty double sided papers in this little pad.

MCT 12 Days of Christmas Day 10

Hello friends and welcome to the 10th day of Emma's 12 Days of Christmas. If you arrived here from the talented Cindy's blog you are in the right spot. If not make sure to start at Emma's blog.

Today, I have another ornament for you. This one took a bit more time than yesterdays, but I LOVE how she turned out I hope you like her too. She is a chipboard ornament set that I purchased from Peachy Keen Stamps (Gingerbread Chipboard Shape Set - Girl). I painted her with acrylic paint (nothing fancy there since I don't really know how to paint, I was mostly just trying to get the basic color of the gingerbread and then I inked the edges with some Tim Holtz Ink). Then I added some snow writer and glitter to the white pieces. I stamped her face with the darling Happy Lashes Face stamp and last but not least I added a darling little JOY banner using Emma's Build a Banner Kit.

MCT 12 Days of Christmas Day 9

Hello friends and welcome to the 9th day of Emma's 12 Days of Christmas. If you arrived here from the talented Cindy's blog you are in the right spot. If not make sure to start at Emma's blog.

Today I have ANOTHER simple project for you. A few weeks ago I saw a project on one of my favorite crafter's blogs, Lorie of The Thinkin' Spot. She made this little honeycomb type ornament for the front of a card. After looking over her tutorial HERE, I figured you could make these out of just about anything that is symmetrical in shape. From there I got the idea to make Emma's darling little Scalloped Circle into some easy, but cute ornaments for my girl's mini Christmas tree. Once again, for a tutorial on how to make these just click HERE to go to Lorie's awesome project. And thanks for the inspiration Lorie!

Anyway super simple but kind of fun. I used about 9 scalloped circles for each ornament, but you can alter that depending on how full you want it to be.

MCT 12 Days of Christmas Day 8

Hello friends and welcome to the 8th day of Emma's 12 Days of Christmas. If you arrived here from the talented Cindy's blog you are in the right spot. If not make sure to start at Emma's blog.

Today I have a fun project using Emma's Lollipop Holder Die. I want to start out by letting you know that this is NOT my original idea. I saw some darling boxes while I was blog hoping and when I saw these I KNEW that I wanted to make something like this using the Lollipop Holder Die. Click HERE to see Jayne's blog where I got my inspiration. She also made a cute Santa and a reindeer that I think would look really cute on this Lollipop Holder Die as well.

I cut out a 2" circle for the face and stamped it with Peachy Keen Stamps Everyday Character Face Part stamp set. I braided some twine for a scarf and tied a little bow. I added a few rhinestones and I was done. For the inside I just added a little travel size hand sanitizer like Veronica had shown us. They fit PERFECTLY.

MCT 12 Days of Christmas Day 7

If you are looking for my Simply Crafts Project, scroll down or click HERE.

Hello friends and welcome to the 7th day of Emma's 12 Days of Christmas. If you arrived here from the talented Cindy's blog you are in the right spot. If not make sure to start at Emma's blog.

Today I have another quick and easy project for you. These little boxes only take a square piece of paper, a little scoring and folding, a few hole punches and some ribbon or twine to tie it together. From there you are pretty much done. This container is made with a 6x6 piece of paper from the Be Merry paper pad by My Minds Eye.

I inked all of the edges with a nice warm brown before I tied it all together. Then I threw in some M & M's and I was done. If you don't know how to make these little boxes my friend Pam has a nice video tutorial for you HERE. Once you make one or two, you can just do it from memory. They are just that easy.

The awesome circle shape on the front is from Emma's Scallop and Stitched Circle Die set. I just used the Stitched Circle Die for this project. I also used the Warm Holiday Wishes sentiment from her Mixed Holiday Sentiment stamp set.

Simply Crafts - Christmas Stocking Cut

Hello and welcome to another Simply Crafts Challenge day. For those of you unfamiliar with this, my crafting bestie, Pam, and I do a cut challenge the first Wednesday of each month. We just opened up our challenge so that anyone could participate a couple of months ago. If you are interested in joining the fun hop on over to the Simply Crafts Challenge Blog.

For the cut this month Pam chose the stocking from the Jolly Holidays cartridge. I thought it would look really cute with a sweet little teddy bear inside and so that is exactly what I did.

I love the sentiment I used for this card. It is from My Creative Time's Mixed Holiday Sentiments stamp set. The darling bear is from the Sugar and Spice Cricut Lite cartridge and the oh so SWEET and perfect face is by Peachy Keen Stamps and are called Cute and Cuddly Faces. All the paper, except for the kraft and white, are from a paper pad by My Minds Eye it is called Be Merry. In fact this little paper pad is part of this months giveaway.

Don't forget to drop by Pam's blog to see what her take on this cute stocking was and who knows she may even have an awesome video waiting for you too. If you would like to join in the fun of this challenge click HERE to go to the challenge blog and check it out. Hugs- Glora

MCT 12 Days of Christmas Day 6

Hello friends and welcome to the 6th day of Emma's 12 Days of Christmas. If you arrived here from the talented Cindy's blog you are in the right spot. If not make sure to start at Emma's blog.

Today I have another simple and fun project. Homemade gift wrap. All I did was use a white lunch sack. I stamped it up randomly, colored quickly and added some Stickles for a little extra fun.

The big snowman is from Emma's All Around Accessories stamp set. The JOY sentiment is from Small Talk. The heart is from Anyday Crossword and Bingo. For the tag I used the Scalloped and Stitched Oval Dies and stamped it with a sentiment and image from the All Around Christmas stamp set. I added some baker's twine from The Twinery in red and green and I was finished. This would be kind of time consuming for EVERY present, but fun for a few gifts that you want to give that little extra personal touch! I hope you like it!

MCT 12 Days of Christmas Day 5

Hello friends. I just got back from Disneyland and so I'm just joining in the fun of Emma's 12 Days of Christmas. If you arrived here from Cindy's blog you are in the right spot. If not make sure to start at Emma's blog.

Today I have a super simple project to share but a great one to make if you have little kids. It is a countdown to Christmas paper chain.

I always used to make these when I was a little kid and my children love them too. All I did was take 2 (12x12) sheets of glittery Core'dinations cardstock. I cut each sheet into 1" strips. Next I looped and stapled the first piece into a chain, then I linked the second one through the first one and stapled it. I continued linking and stapling until I had a link for each of the days until Christmas. I used the little starburst from the Build a Banner kit by My Creative Time as well as the numbers off of the All Around Birthday Time stamp set to finish off my countdown chain.

Simple Gingerbread Christmas Card

A couple of weeks ago I helped some ladies at my church put this cute little Christmas card together. I cut pieces for about 60 of these. They are simple cards but it still took a bit of time. Everyone seemed to like them so it all worked out.

I used the ginger on the Just Because Cards Cricut cartridge. The darling face is called Happy Lashes by Peachy Keen Stamps and I used the My Creative Time Stitched Oval Die and sentiment from the Gift Card Sentiment stamp set for the Merry Christmas.

I hope you are having a terrific day! Take care! Hugs- Glora
