You and Me

***If you are looking for my 3D Wednesday project for My Creative Time scroll down or click HERE***

Hi, I'm just stopping by really quick to show you a card that I made for the current Peachy Keen Challenge. The challenge is to make a card using hearts. I made a heart shaped card.

All of the cut pieces come from the Create a Critter 2 Cricut cartridge. The Koala cut is normally just the girl koala but I wanted to have a boy koala too so I just copied and flipped the image in my Gypsy. I used the Critter Faces (Medium) stamps from Peachy Keen Stamps. I love how cute they make these images. The sentiment is from Emma's new Lots of Love stamp set.

Other than that I inked the edges with Distress Ink and added some accents with my gel pen. I added Glossy Accents to the noses and eyes and some Trendy Twine for the girl's bow. I hope you enjoyed my card. Hugs- Glora

Be Mine Easy Treat Container

Well hello, it is time for another 3D Wednesday over at My Creative Time. Today we are all making boxes or containers to share. I made a little treat container using some of Emma's existing dies. It was super easy and I think it turned out pretty cute too.

I got this basic idea from a treat that my Mother in law gave to my kids last year. I made a Saint Patrick's Day version of the treat container using my Gypsy last year. You can see that one by clicking HERE. Well when this assignment came up I started brainstorming and remembered that cute treat from last year and thought that Emma's 3x3 Fancy Tri-fold Card Die would work perfectly for this. It absolutely did.

All I had to do was figure out the perfect places to score it at and the rest is a piece of cake. If you cut out the 3x3 Fancy Tri-fold Card Die all you have to do is place it on a score board straight edge in the corner and score it at 2.75", 3.5" and 6.25".

I wanted a transparent little window so I used the heart die from the 100% Sweetness stamp set to create my window. I filled a 3" wide clear bag with M&Ms and stapled the bag to the top.

Finishing this off was a breeze using the Teeny Tags Layer Dies and a sentiment from the Teeny Tag Greetings Stamp set along with a little bit of hemp twine from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique.

I hope you enjoyed this simple and fun little project. Make sure you stop by Emma's Blog to see what fun boxes and containers everyone else came up with. Hugs- Glora

LOVE Banner

Well I'm back and it is time for another 3D Wednesday at My Creative Time. Today we all made some sort of banner. It could be a large banner, a small banner attached to a card, whatever so long as we included a banner.

I LOVE making banners for holiday decorations. Some are small and go on my door and others are rather large. This one is one of my smaller door banners.

I used lots of fun My Creative Time products for this little banner. Each piece of the banner is made using the Tag Dies as the base. I used the darling Stitched Heart Layer Dies for all the little hearts. I used the beautiful new Stitched Scallop Heart Die set for my 'O'. I also used the following My Creative Time stamp sets for the sentiments on the hearts: Chocolate Greetings and Lots of Love.

I also used stamps from the new January 2013 Stamp Kit of the Month by Peachy Keen Stamps.

Here is a close up of each piece of the banner.

The letters were cut at 2.5" from the Opposites Attract Cricut cartridge. I also stamped the bears on tan paper and chalked them up for the shading.

I used Glossy Accents on the eyes and noses. For this cute girl bear I used two of the smallest hearts from the Stitched Heart Layering Dies to make her little bow. I just added a small heart shaped rhinestone to finish it off.

I pop dotted a bunch of the hearts up too. I love the dimension on this in real life. This is probably my new favorite holiday banner.

This bear's face is the only PKS stamp that did not come from the January 2013 SKOTM. This one is from the Critter Faces XL stamp set.

My banner was strung together with some pretty red and pink twine from Trendy Twine.

I'm kind of hoping you can see the dimension on the banner a little bit better on these last couple of shots.

I'm entering this banner into the current Peachy Keen 3D Challenge which is supposed to include bears in it.

Make sure to stop by Emma's blog if you haven't already for some awesome banner inspiration. Have a fabulous day! Hugs- Glora

Thinking of You - Clean and Simple

Here I am with a CAS (clean and simple) thinking of you card.

The paper is all Core-dinations. And the cuts are from the Shall We Dance Cricut cartridge. The beautiful sentiment is from My Creative Time's Floral Sentiments stamp set. I hope you enjoy this quick and easy card. Hugs- Glora

Happy BIRD-day!

Well I'm back and with another birthday card. I've had quite a few that I have needed to make lately. For this one I used the sketch from the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge.

This cute little bird and sentiment are from Peachy Keen Stamps Lil' Tweets Birthday. The embossed music background is from Sizzix. I used the Stitched Postage Frame Die from My Creative Time and the kraft hemp is from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique.

Have a Fabulous Day! Hugs- Glora

Feliz Cumpleanos

Well Pam and I like to do a cut challenge each month. We were doing it on the first Wednesday of the month and having it as an open challenge. We have both had a lot going on so we decided that for the time being we will just keep the cut challenge between ourselves.

I chose the cut this month, the 6 candle cut from the Birthday Bash Cricut Cartridge. I like this cut and haven't used it before. I thought it would be a cute cut for my nephew's birthday.

I kept the colors bright and basic because it is for a boy. I also used my Peachy Keen stamps for the faces. I used both Simple Simons and the December 2012 SKOTM for the faces. The Spanish birthday sentiment is from Emma's (My Creative Time's) Wow So Many Candles! stamp set. I used Versamarker around all the edges and did some accenting with my Sakura Gelly Roll Pen. I also pop dotted the candles up and rounded some corners as well.

Don't those faces make you smile? I hope they will bring a smile to the birthday boy's face too. Make sure to check out Pam's blog (HERE) so you can see what she did with this cut too. I can't wait to check it out as well. Have a terrific day! Hugs- Glora

Happy Birthday Pup

I just wanted to hop on and share a birthday card that I made. I made this for my brother in law that loves dogs and I also submitted for the Peachy Keen Challenge that they had on the Peachy Keen Connection.

I used a few "NEW" items for it. The first was the Happy-Go-Lucky Dog Faces from Peachy Keen Stamps, the second was the Celebration Background stamp by Peachy Keen Stamps and the third was the paper pad that the teal colored paper came from.

I hope you have a fabulous day! Hugs- Glora

Now I'm Talking to the Sunbeams

I'm currently the volunteer Primary President, in charge of our church's children's organization - Sunday School instruction for young children ages 3-12. It can be challenging to coordinate the different teachers, classes, lessons, songs, and activities, but it is always rewarding!

Since this is the new year, the three-turning-four-year-old "Sunbeams" class is full of new and excited young ones who just graduated from the nursery (which is for the 18 months - 3 year old children). I made these shape cards, with a unique design for each youth, and wrote a welcome message for each child.

So no, I'm not going crazy. In this instance, talking to "Sunbeams" is perfectly normal!

Face: Peachy Keen Stamps - Happy Lashes

The sunshine comes from the Create a Critter Cricut Cartridge. I modified them in the Gypsy.

Face: Peachy Keen Stamps - Critter Faces XL

Peachy Keen Stamps finish these off perfectly! And I'm also entering this in their Anything Goes challenge.

Face: Peachy Keen Stamps - Simple Simons

These cards fit perfectly inside of Emma's 3x3 Fancy Envelope Die. I love that thing, it is perfect for all my 3x3 notecards.

Face: Peachy Keen Stamps - Basic Paper Doll Faces

Incidentally, the class name of "Sunbeam" comes from both St. Matthew 5:16 ("Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.") and their class song (lyrics below). What better group to represent these values than 3-and-4-year-olds?!

1. Jesus wants me for a sunbeam,
To shine for him each day;
In every way try to please him,
At home, at school, at play.

Chorus
A sunbeam, a sunbeam,
Jesus wants me for a sunbeam.
A sunbeam, a sunbeam,
I'll be a sunbeam for him.

2. Jesus wants me to be loving
And kind to all I see,
Showing how pleasant and happy
His little one can be.

Repeat Chorus
